Cherrie was born in 1967 in the Roman city of Colchester, Essex . As a young child she lived on a small holding in Lincolnshire were her family kept goats and other animals.

In 1979 when her parents separated and she moved with her mother and two brothers to a small Mining Town in Derbyshire here Cherrie attended the local secondary school and six form collage.

After College Cherrie spent a brief time in the air force before moving to Nottingham and working with the local county council whilst playing local venues with her band A Restless Tide.

It was at this time Cherrie first started producing Celtic Works of Art. These early works formed the bases for band posters, decoration for leather jackets as well as the occasional tattoo.

In 1997 with the re-release of the Women’s Centre Newsletter Cherrie found herself producing the covers for the first four issues. As well as producing her first gallery show which lasted for an unprecedented three months at the Old Angle.

Since then Cherrie has exhibited her art a number of times around her home town of Nottingham. In 2001 Cherrie was diagnosed with Fibromialga and subsequently had to give up her voluntary work with the Nottingham Women’s Centre.

To many this would have been difficult as Fibromialga means a life with constant pain, but Cherrie has risen to the challenge producing over 300 works in the past four years alone.

In 2004 Cherrie moved to Bestwood where she shares her life with her loving partner Lucy, her growing family and five cats. Whilst she continues producing intricate and thought provoking works.
